sujet + BE ( au temps de la voix active ) + Participe passé ( + complément d'agent introduit par "by" )

( participe passé : 3ème colonne des verbes irréguliers )

Phrase au prétérit  ==>  BE au prétérit

The gangster was arrested by the police.

( Le gangster a été arrété par ... )

-Inspector Harris arrested the gangster.

Pharse au prétérit ==> BE au prétérit

The gangster was arrested by Inspector Harris.

-Inspector Harris arrests gangsters.

Phrase au présent simple ==> BE au orésent simple

Gangsters are arrested by Inspector Harris.

( Les gangsters sont arrétés par ...)

-Inspector Harris has just arrested this gangster.

Pharse au présent Perfect ==> BE au présent perfect

This gangster has just been arrested by Inspector Harris.

( Ce gangster vient juste d' être arrété par ..)

-Inspector Harris is arresting a gangster.

Phrase au présent be + -ing ==> BE au présent be + ing

A gangster is being arrested by Inspector Harris.

( Un gangster est en train d'être arrété par .. )

-Inspector Harris will soon arrest the gangster.

Phrase au futur avec un auxiliaire ( will ) ===> BE  au futur

The gangster will be arrested by Inspector Harris.

( Le gangster sera arrété par ... )
